What a week.

I don’t know about you, but I feel like I have been through the ringer. Not just the news about Lisa leaving, but it’s as if life decided to yell “HERE” in my face and give a bunch of crappy gifts without receipts. Almost like that post-fight scene in the first Anchorman movie where Ron Burgendy and the crew are sitting in his office talking about how intense the previous time was.

But I am comforted by the words from author Herman Raucher in his book, Summer of ’42, “life is made up of many comings and goings and for everything that we take with us, we must leave something behind.” We are entering a time of transition, but the work of the church doesn’t stop. We will continue to focus on our neighbors, we will continue to express our radical welcoming Trinity is known for, and we’ll start some new stuff along the way.

We are so lucky to have such wonderful people in various leadership roles, and one of the best staffs I have ever worked with. Priest Lisa has done an incredible job of helping Trinity figure out who they are and projecting it into the future with our 2030 Vision. There is a long road ahead with a lot of hard work that is wroth doing, and I am so honored to do it with you all.

As a reminder, we have sign-ups for PRIDE going on right now, click here to join in on the fun! There will also be a PRIDE meeting after service this Sunday, please stay after to hang out with us and join in on some of the crafts we’ll be handing out. Don’t forget we’re collecting hard candy for the parade as well.

FINALLY, order your PRIDE shirts here!

Grace and peace my friends.
