Over these next five weeks, Trinity Voices will features stories shared by our full and part-time staff. Trinity Voices offers an opportunity for members and friends of Trinity to share their joys and challenges of our mutual ministry.

What I see and feel….

When I walk in the Trinity sanctuary the first thing I see is the baptismal font that held the water that I was baptized with as well as my children Beth and Ben and my grandchildren Lexi, Bailey and Derick.

I see the aisle where I knelt before Bishop Burt to be confirmed, the aisle I walked down to be married and the aisle I followed my parents funeral processions.

I always see in my minds eye and feel in my heart these personal reflections that are so special to me. I also feel the presence of so many other Trinitarians, past and present, that I’ve served with as an Usher, Altar Guild member, liturgical assistant, lay reader, Sunday school teacher and Parish Accountant.

It’s wonderful to feel these connections but I’m most passionate, and Trinity is at its very best, when we’re serving others! Whether the project is Blanketing Toledo with Love, Race for the Cure, or preparing breakfast for so many in our Toledo community.  We truly shine when we take our Legacy and current resources to better the lives of those we share this journey with. May we continue and expand our outreach in the years to come so when people hear the name Trinity Episcopal Church they know they’ve been touched by His kingdom here in this place.
