Getting Married at Trinity
Congratulations on your engagement! If you are interested in sharing your special day at Trinity, you may begin the inquiry process by noting the important information below. Our life with God is expressed in relationships of commitment and faithfulness, which includes heterosexual as well as same-sex couples. It is the Church’s joy to celebrate these relationships as signs of God’s love, to pray for God’s grace to support couples in their life together, and to join with these couples in our shared witness to the gospel in the world.
Please note: Due to current county, state and diocesan Covid guidelines, we will not officiate weddings in the building at this time.
Step 1
WORSHIP: If you are not a current member of Trinity, your first step is to pick a Sunday to join us for worship- any Sunday at 10:00 would be a great way for a couple to see the church inside and get a feel for what it would be like to have our priest and our community be a part of planning for your wedding.
Step 2
WEDDING APPLICATION: After you have expereinced worship with our Trinity Community with your partner, contact the office, at trinity@trinitytoledo.org or (419) 243-1231 for the Wedding Application.
PRE-MARITAL COUNSELING & LITURGY PLANNING: Whether you are members of Trinity or just planning to have your wedding with us, our tradition requires that each couple has 3 pre-marital counseling sessions with our priest. These are not therapeutic in nature but about relationship building and allow time to not only get to know the priest but also intentional time to talk about the commitment of marriage and how and why you have agreed to take this next step together. This includes taking an on-line personal inventory which produces a report you will receive at your second session allowing you to talk about a number of aspects of your lives individually and together.
REHEARSAL: Ceremony rehearsals are typically held the day before the ceremony and take approximately 30 minutes. Please schedule your reahearsal with Lisa Tucker-Gray .

Things to Consider
We encourage you to browse through our website, as well as come and join us on a Sunday to get a feeling for who WE are. We offer a free community breakfast at 9:00am and worship begins at 10:00! Please contact the office by email at trinity@trinitytoledo.org or by phone at 419-243-1231 for a Wedding Application.
- Weddings can only be booked at minimum 6 months in advance – but preferably a year or more.
- We reserve the privilege of Officiating your wedding for our Rector, The Rev. Lisa Tucker-Gray.
- All couples will go through counseling with our Rector.
- During the season of Advent, our Sanctuary lives in a very specific color/décor scheme and set up.
- If either of you are divorced, the timeline will lengthen because the Episcopal Church requires Dispensation forms to be filed, which often take up to a year to process.
Parking
Nofity your guests in advance that parking is available in the Four Seagate Parking Garage (located off of St. Clair Street) and connects directly to Trinity. Guests may bring in their parking tickets to be validated. Metered street parking is also available along Adams Street and St. Clair Street.
