This weekend begins our transition into summertime music. With the section leaders and choir on a much-deserved break until September, Grace and I have worked to infuse our summer music offerings with wonderful area of instrumentalists. We’re hoping to give breath and space to another form of worship that only music without words can bring.

This weekend, we welcome cellist Anthony Marchese. Anthony is a doctoral student at BGSU studying contemporary cello performance. His social media is full of videos playing by himself and with others. He can be seen often playing with Joanna Sterling, a fabulous trans artist in Ohio and Michigan. It is clear he takes his teaching seriously, as he shares many things about teaching… good memes, and many supportive pictures and notes about students. He seems to always be playing somewhere, and we are delighted that he’ll be here at Trinity imbuing our sacred space with uplifting music. You can follow him on social media @anthonymarchesecellist.

We’re so thankful for the Trinity legacy, and to be able to support and collaborate with players like Anthony. Stay tuned to meet more of our amazing summer instrumentalists.

Chelsie
