Good morning, my friends!

This week, we continue our wonderful summer season of instrumentalists, and this weekend we’ll be tuning in to some folk-rock sounds. To help set that vibe, we’ve invited our guest Cody Cooper to the church to offer some beautiful music.

Cody Cooper is a graduate from Bowling Green State University College of Musical Arts. As a musician, he focuses on fretted string instruments including guitar, mandolin, banjo, and ukulele. You can generally listen to Cody performing with his band Blockhouse Valley, or playing in the pit orchestra of a local theater production. Additionally, Cody runs a videography and live streaming company working with clients to create marketing videos and broadcasting their live events and meetings to a larger audience. When he isn’t working or performing, Cody enjoys going to local and touring music and theater performances in the area.

Melissa Toth and Kim Buehler will also be in the building, helping to offer sweet three-part harmony to some Wailin’ Jenny’s offerings, including “One Voice” and “Bright Mornin’ Stars.” With a group like this, we find ourselves looking forward to the music for worship, knowing it has been thoughtfully and delightfully placed to glorify our beautiful awesome, Universal Love.

Happy Friday, and we’ll see you Sunday!
