Sunday, January 29 Celebration of Ministry & Annual Meeting after 10:00 service

Each year every parish in the Episcopal Church gathers for an Annual Meeting- a time to look back on the year past, ahead to the future and complete the business put before us as a parish. Please plan on joining us this year following the 10:00 service. All are welcome and wanted!

Vestry Slate 2023

Serving on a vestry is a unique opportunity to live and grow as a leader in a community of faith. The members of a vestry serve for 3-year terms providing oversight and responsibility for the temporal and financial aspects of our common life. In addition to being good stewards of our finances and property they join in the holy task of discerning who and how we are called to be today and in the future. This year’s approved vestry slate are all currently serving on vestry, and after concluding their first 3-year term have decided to exercise their opportunity to serve for a second consecutive term.

Your vestry has affirmed this slate of nominees and commends them to you for affirmation at the Annual Meeting on Sunday January 29th following the 10:00 Trinity@316 service. Please join me in thanking them in advance for the work they have done and will continue to do on our behalf during their extended tenure.

Jeffrey Albright (3-year term)

I have been a parishioner at Trinity since moving back from New York City in 2003. I was elected to Vestry in 2005 and served two full terms. In 2019, I was elected to fill a 1-year unexpired term and have just completed my first full 3-year term.  Prior to returning to Toledo, I was an active member at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, NYC.

I have been active in outreach activities and 2 rector search committees. I am the Vestry Junior warden and currently serve as a Worship Greeter. My other passion is promoting the performing arts at Trinity and am a founding member and current Board President of Actors Collaborative Toledo (ACT).  One of my proudest—and humbling—moments at Trinity was volunteering in 2018 for the Music & Tap Dance Camp for local refugee children.  That was CHURCH!

This continues to be an exciting time at Trinity with a growing congregation, exciting developments finally addressing the problems on the Plaza for a decade and focused leadership helping us discern what is next as a parish and a downtown presence.

Jamie Paul (3-year term)

I have been a member of Trinity since 2007. I have just completed my first full term on vestry and am excited to continue on for another 3 years. Prior to serving on vestry I was a member of the Finance Commission and served as Assistant Treasurer. In that role, I chose to attend vestry meetings and learned first-hand of how important and rewarding the vestry work can be.

Being active at Trinity is an important part of my life; I served on the Altar Guild from 2015-2020, have served on the Finance Commission since 2008, and have been a member of the audit committee for the past 10 annual audits. I have seen wonderful growth at Trinity over these past five years with many positive changes and a growing congregation- even during the challenging time of COVID. I am excited to be a leader at this time and a part of Trinity’s future.

Leah Reed (3-year term):

My journey at Trinity began in 2018 when I moved to Toledo to pursue my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Toledo. Growing up Episcopalian many parts of Trinity felt familiar, but I quickly fell in love with Lisa’s leadership and the community at Trinity. I have had an incredible time serving on the vestry for 3 years and am ready and willing to continue that leadership role. During this first round of vestry service I served as Clerk. As I think about the next 3 years of this experience I find myself still enthusiastic and full of thoughts and ideas about how we go about the business of loving God and neighbor.

Will and I were married at Trinity on February 1, 2020. Since then we have found meaningful friends and deep connections and continue to grow in our faith along with discovering opportunities to serve connect, pray, play with our newfound family of faith.
