Summer is full — sports, yardwork, cookouts, vacations, and all the catching up that comes after. It’s a busy, beautiful season, and quiet moments can be hard to come by.
But what if you carved out just a little space for reflection? It doesn’t have to be formal or structured. Maybe it’s those first few quiet minutes in bed before the day begins, a cup of coffee on the porch, a walk with the dog, or a relaxed conversation over dinner. Even a sleepless night can become an unexpected gift of stillness. Whenever it works for you — that’s the right time.
To help make reflection a little easier this summer, members of the Spiritual Formation Committee have put together a series of questions drawn from the scripture readings for each Sunday. Starting next week, one question will be shared in Topics each week, tied to that Sunday’s assigned readings.
What you do with the question is entirely up to you. Think about it quietly, talk it over with a friend or family member, write about it, or express it creatively. And if a particular week’s question doesn’t resonate — or life is just too full — feel free to skip it. There’s no pressure and no expectations here.
As you engage with these questions, we simply invite you to notice: How is this reflection shaping your faith? What is it stirring in you?
Our hope is that this becomes a gentle, grace-filled way to encounter God this summer — on your terms, in your time.
