Dear Friends,

I just wanted to take a moment to offer my thanks and gratitude to everyone who has helped with and attended our Summer of Pride events thus far! You have certainly made this year one for the record books—and we are only halfway through!

I would like to formally invite everyone to the first event of Toledo Pride Weekend that Trinity will be hosting: PRI-DAY Palooza, on Friday, August 14, at 5:00 p.m.!

In years past, this event has gone by several names, including the Pride Family Picnic. This year, we plan to have even more fun than in years past.

This is our family-friendly, kids-of-all-ages fun evening out on the Plaza. This year, we will have more decorations, incredible food, a dance party, and a cheering station for those participating in the Niteglo 5K, which passes right by Trinity on Summit Street. We will also have arts and crafts, fun games and prizes, and a stellar lineup of drag performers for our Drag Story & Performance Hour.

We are thrilled to welcome back Juicee Strawbooty, who joined us last year. They will be joined by Justin Case, Amber Stone, and Jhene Gemini. (Tipping is suggested, as this weekend is super busy for all of them!)

Here is the detailed timeline for the evening:

5:00 p.m. – Doors open! Food is served, music is bumping, and arts and crafts will be available in My Brother’s Place. This year’s crafts will include peace rocks and flower pots, which will be given out on Saturday at our Pride Parade Open House.

5:30 p.m. – Dueling games of Pictionary with fun and silly prizes.

6:00 p.m. – Drag Story & Performance Hour

7:00 p.m. – Dance party and 5K cheering station

7:15 p.m.BINGO! We have some incredible prizes in store for our winners.

8:00 p.m. – Go home, get some rest, and be ready to be back 14 hours later to continue the party at the parade!

We are still looking for volunteers to help the event run smoothly, as well as food donations. There is a SignUpGenius and signup sheets in the back of the sanctuary. Anything and everything is GREATLY appreciated!

On behalf of the Pride Committee and Staff, we cannot wait to have a blast with all of you during Pride Weekend!

Peace, Love & Pride,
Michael
