Over these next weeks, we will highlight members of our choir.

This week, meet Toledo School for the Arts sophomore, Isaac Slater!
Isaac really enjoys acting having performed in numerous productions, such as Twelfth Night, Odd Couple, and Little Women. He also dabbles in writing, comedy, wrestling, and is a fan of Shakespeare. Fun fact, Isaac can beatbox! Check him out accompanying the Jobst Choral Scholars at the 11pm Christmas Eve service, where he laid down the beat during The Little Drummer Boy.

Isaac appreciates that Trinity’s high school choir program creates a safe and welcoming place to meet people who are both different that him in a lot of ways, but also similar to him in their love of music. His future plans include college, where he (currently) wants to study mathematics and theatre. He is also hoping to check out some open mic nights and work on his comedy routine.

Isaac, as well as a couple of our other high school choral members – Max Gierke, Katie Crawford – will be starring in this weekend’s Toledo School for the Arts production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, a story about an eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime.
