Imagine the most iconic mother of all time telling her own version of a story we thought we knew. Colm Tóibín’s retelling of the pivotal events in the life of Jesus Christ through the eyes of Mary the survivor challenges us to imagine the suffering, courage and strength of mothers up close and personal. This is an intimate session with a strong but vulnerable woman who has an extraordinary story to tell and tells it frankly. Join a gifted playwright and performer in a solo journey that will leave you with new insight and questions, along with a deeper appreciation for human endurance in the context of mystery.
Reception begins at 7:00pm; curtain is at 8:00pm. All proceeds from this event will assist in the purchase and installation of the bronze sculpture "Homeless Jesus" at Trinity Episcopal Church.
Directed by Jeffrey Albright and featuring Barbara Barkan. Tickets are available at https://www.act419.org/
