Music & Arts

Music and art are important parts of our life as a community. Our worship gatherings, performing artist concerts, art shows, classes and small groups all use the creative energy of music and art as a spiritual practice. In fact, innovation and creativity are some of our core values.

We use music and art in unique ways. We make our own textiles. The entire community becomes a choir whenever we gather.  And the music you won’t forget. There’s a lot of it and we love to sing together.

Our musical heritage is one of the world’s richest and most deeply spiritual.  It’s an extremely diverse and multilayered art that brings together many different traditions from England to South Africa, from the Americas to Asia.  Gospel, blues and tribal tunes all find a home with Baroque, Renaissance and early music.  If it connects us with God, then we’ll use it.

Canterbury Choir

Our choir is made up of true musicians who bring out the spirit in all of us.  They sing, they drum, they play a variety of instruments, they use music to create a spiritual experience right in our midst. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm and on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am.
